WHY COLORADO AUDIENCES

Local relationships are the advantage.

Colorado Audiences gives organizations a simple, direct path to relevant Colorado newsrooms—without the work of building and maintaining a statewide media list.

Statewide depth

We maintain newsroom and media contacts across Colorado, including community, rural, digital, nonprofit and public media.

Human preparation

We check that necessary information and media-contact details are present, organize the release for straightforward newsroom use, handle supplied images for distribution and flag obvious submission problems before sending.

2. We prepare it

WHAT MAKES A RELEASE RELEVANT

What makes a strong Colorado release?

The strongest releases give editors a timely, credible reason to care about an organization, event or development affecting their Colorado audiences.

  • New businesses, locations and major expansions
  • Leadership appointments, awards and milestones
  • Community events, grants and nonprofit initiatives
  • Research, reports and public-service information
  • Partnerships, programs and meaningful product launches
  • Arts, education, agriculture, tourism and civic announcements
  • Candidate, campaign and public-policy announcements where appropriate

We get it there. Editors decide what happens next.

The fee covers preparation and distribution, not editorial coverage. Each newsroom independently decides whether and how to use a release. Publication is not guaranteed, and distribution does not imply endorsement by Colorado Audiences, Colorado Press Network or Colorado Press Association.

QUESTIONS

What to know before you submit.

What format should I send?

Send the release as a DOCX/Word file or PDF. Images may be JPG/JPEG or PNG. We prepare submitted materials for newsroom distribution.

How quickly will it go out?

Once materials and payment are confirmed, we’ll review timing and confirm the distribution date.

Can you improve or write my release?

Normal distribution preparation is included. Copy editing and release optimization are available for +$75. Full writing is +$250 to $350, depending on the complexity of the announcement and the reporting or interview work required.

Is this the same as an online wire service?

No. Colorado Audiences focuses on direct distribution to a maintained network of Colorado newsroom and media contacts rather than broad web syndication.

Do you guarantee coverage?

No. Distribution puts your release in front of relevant media contacts; each newsroom independently decides whether and how to use it.

POLICIES AND PRACTICAL DETAILS

Image rights and volume-plan use.

What should I know about submitted images?

By submitting an image, you confirm that you own it or have permission to provide it for editorial use in connection with the release. Colorado Audiences may request documentation of image rights if needed.

How do volume plans work?

Choose six statewide releases for $699 or twelve for $1,199. Releases may be scheduled individually and used within 12 months of purchase.
